Summertime is travel time. Some people might associate travelling with a spontaneous trip, just letting themselves go without planning anything in particular. Others plan their journey meticulously well in advance. Which type are you?

Estimated reading time:2minutesGood travel planning has many advantages. Hotels often have to be booked well in advance in order to get a place in the desired accommodation in time. The same applies to campsites, but some museums also need to be booked in advance.
For this reason, it is also important to look for inspiration in advance on the internet or in classic printed travel guides and then ask directly whether something needs to be reserved in advance.
What you should not leave to chance or fate is your own health and that of your fellow travellers. That is why it is important to put together a small first-aid kit. You might want to have this checked out by a doctor beforehand.
Other questions that may need to be clarified in advance are, for example, the temperature and weather conditions, in order to make the choice of clothing easier. The accommodation also plays a role here, of course. I need different clothes in a tent than in a hotel. You might also want to find out where the nearest shops are before you go. If you want to hike for several days through almost untouched nature, you will of course have to pack provisions accordingly. If, on the other hand, you pass a supermarket, the situation is different.
As part of the alugha family, you probably already know our alugha travel channel. Here you will find lots of tips, especially about travelling with a campervan. Everything is multilingual, of course!
We also recommend that you take at least one phrase book with you for every trip, so that you can communicate a little. In addition, all alugha videos can be used to refresh your existing language skills. Or maybe you would like to show a contribution about your travel planning or about your travels in several languages. We would be very pleased. Please register here. Would you like to tell us about your travels in the comments? We are looking forward to it.

Podcasts enjoy great popularity. However, you still don't find transcripts for them that often. But why do you actually need a podcast transcript? And how do I create one?
The year 2023 has started and the alugha team wishes you a happy, healthy and successful new year. We also have a tip for you: start your year multilingually!
