Embed your watchlist

Summary

watchlist is a curated playlist of alugha videos that plays as one continuous experience, on your channel, behind a shared link, or embedded on your website. This article shows how to create a watchlist, fill it with videos, and share or embed it.

Where watchlists live

Open My archive from the avatar menu and switch to the MY CONTENT tab. The WATCHLISTS section sits at the top of the VIDEOS view:

  • count badge next to the WATCHLISTS heading shows how many you have.
  • Each watchlist card shows its video count, its visibility badge (e.g. Not listed), and a ⋮ menu with edit Watchlist and delete Watchlist.
  • EDIT and + NEW WATCHLIST buttons sit on the right of the section.

Create a watchlist

Click + NEW WATCHLIST in the WATCHLISTS section, give it a name, and save. You can also create one on the fly while saving a video. See the next section.

Add videos to a watchlist

Path A, from the video page (SAVE)

Open any video page and click SAVE in the bar below the player (next to LIKE). A menu opens with Add to Watchlist and Add to Podcast. Pick Add to Watchlist, a picker lists your existing watchlists plus + Create new Watchlist. Click the target watchlist and the video is added.

Path B, from the dubbr PROJECT tab

Inside the dubbr, the PROJECT tab has a WATCHLIST dropdown (below CATEGORIES). Assign the project to a watchlist there. Optionally with a START DATE and END DATE (PERIOD) so the video only appears in the watchlist during a set time window. Useful for seasonal or campaign content.

Share a watchlist with a link

Open the watchlist (click its card in MY CONTENT). The player loads the first video and shows a playlist icon in the player controls. Viewers use it to move between the watchlist’s videos.

Below the player, open the SHARE tab and enable the Watchlist toggle in the options next to the embed preview. The Link field updates by itself. There is nothing to edit by hand. Copy it and send it.

Anyone opening this link gets the whole watchlist experience, starting from that video. Without the toggle, you’d share just the single video.

Embed a watchlist on your website

In the same SHARE tab, with the Watchlist toggle on, the Embed code box also switches to the watchlist player. alugha writes the finished snippet for you. Click COPY and paste it into any page that accepts HTML: your website, WordPress (Custom HTML block), or an LMS. The embedded player behaves like the on-platform one: playlist navigation, automatic language switching, and subtitles all work inside the iframe.

The other options. Language, Subtitles, Size, Custom color, Custom branding, Hide alugha logo, Autoplay, Loop. Combine freely with the Watchlist toggle. Every change updates the embed code and the live preview.

Watchlist visibility rules

  • The watchlist itself has a visibility badge (e.g. Not listed), a not-listed watchlist is reachable via link but not shown publicly on your channel.
  • Each video keeps its own visibility. Private videos don’t play for outside viewers, the player shows No available video in watchlist! instead. Set the videos to Public or Not listed before sharing the watchlist.
  • A video can sit in multiple watchlists; removing it from a watchlist never deletes the video.
