Briefly introduce yourself: Who are you and what are you doing?

Hello, my name is Michelle, I am 18 years old and I graduated from high school last year. Until mid-May, I’m doing an internship at alugha in the creative department.

Multi-interested, dreamy, adaptable

What is your favourite thing to do in your freetime?

There are lots of things I like to do, for example playing the piano, ice skating, meeting friends and a few more. But what I like best is hanging out with my dog Luna. I think you could compare our relationship with the one Elliott and E.T had. :) 

What guided you to alugha?

I’ve first heard of alugha in autumn 2016 when I helped organizing the “Sportaward Rhein Neckar 2016” (an event at which alugha filmed). Meeting Arthur that evening was just coincidence. We began to talk and I asked him if alugha takes interns and he gave me his business card. 

What are your tasks and what is your impression of working at alugha?

For now, I’m primarily collecting a lot of footage for film projects we’re doing at the moment or soon. Later, I will also be able to take on own projects. The people who work at alugha are pretty diverse and likeable. I admire how they combine fun and humor with hard work and success. 

What do you like best about your work here?

I like that I learn so many new things and that I’m not looking forward to finally going home at the end of the day. For me, work that is fun and colleagues who are cool are the most important factors for a good workplace. 

Where do you see yourself and the company in the future?

It is a fact that it should be as self-evident to set online videos to the respective language with a single click as it is the case with movies on DVD. Especially in light of the fact that online videos are gaining more and more importance. This is exactly what alugha enables, and paired with hard work, which is put in here, I think we can achieve a lot. For me personally, I would like to study media design with focus on audiovisual media. This also is one of the reasons I applied at alugha. 

What is your own big dream?

One day, I’d like to shoot a great film and assist in composing the soundtrack. :)
