I’m Gregor Greinert, 40 years old and entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship has a long tradition in my family. I’m shareholder in several companies of different branches and even work in some of them myself - mostly in management or in commitees roles.

How did you become part of alugha?

I’ve already been working with Bernd in other projects and we know each other quite a long time. As the idea of alugha came up and began to take shape, I was convinced straight away that this will become a big deal. After a few structural detours within the founding phase we eventually decided to establish the alugha GmbH as seperate enterprise and to finance it.

What’s your role within alugha?

I’m the commercial chief executive officer and mainly focussing on the strategic positioning, of course in close consultation with Bernd, as well as the financial side of the business. Certainly all of us are creatively working on developing our joint vision even futher.

What do you like about the work?

alugha is a fascinating project. I think it could revolutionize a part of the digital world and improve quite a lot of things. This is the central challenge, which is making a lot of fun. To advance and realize such an idea is one of the greatest tasks an entrepreneur can get, in my opionion.

What’s the highlight of your business life?

There were a lot of great moments. Counterbalancing them would be unfair. To stick with our Start-up - seeing the “player” live and in action for the first time definitely was a “goosebump moment”.

What are the most important factors to lead a successful start-up and position it in the long-term and even extend it further?

There are partly the key issues that should substantiate any businessmodel. It depends on the start-up status. The idea behind my product must be of great utility for my customers so that they are willing to pay for it. On the one hand I have to position my product so that the people know it exists. Means: Target markets need to be reachable. On the other hand adequate resources are needed to grant the best possible quality. To manage the development and commercial launch appropriate financial resources are needed.

If you think about future, where do you see yourself and the company in 10 years?

I strongly believe that alugha will establish itself globally. I think in 10 years time we will see our start-up in a significant part of the online video market. Especially in the area of educational and explanation videos we will be an indispensable tool when looking at reach optimisation of videos. Besides that, I think, our technology will make an interesting contribution to the “GoGreen” topic. The saving potential here is unbelievable.

The last point is about big dreams, what are they?

I would hope that alugha will make its way into every house, onto every notebook and into every smartphone.
