Bilfinger & Lufthansa Aviation Training - Maintenance ensures trouble-free flight training
The Lufthansa pilots, as well as 160 other airlines, complete their training for the flight license in the flight simulators of the Lufthansa Aviation Training Center. Usually the flight simulators stay "grounded" for only 4 hours per week, every minute counts.
Through contantly maintaining the hydraulics, specialists from industrial service provider Bilfinger ensure that all simulators run smoothly and without friction. Over the past three years, the company has changed 1,200 hydraulic hoses on the machines: "Working hydraulics are prerequisites for smooth training - only reliable hydraulics can simulate the forces that arise in the aircraft - and only then does the illusion of flying become perfect ".
