The European Commission organizes discussion with opinion leaders, officials, and civil society in order to gather ideas for an action plan for implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights. The consultation process in all EU Member States will take place until the end of November 2020. A specially organized social affairs summit will take place in early 2021 during which the European Commission will present the action plan to be approved at the highest political level. Key topics of the discussion are divided according to the Pillar’s three areas: 1. Equal opportunities and access to labour market; 2. Fair working conditions; 3. Social protection and inclusion.
