George, der eigentlich wieder aufs College gehen will, wird von Gino, dem älteren Bruder seiner Ex-Freundin Ann, angeheuert. Da er das Geld braucht, lässt er sich auf die Sache ein, doch Gang-Leader John Egan traut ihm nicht, weswegen er ihn erst testen will. Zudem drängt Gino George dazu, Ann um Geld anzuhauen, da die Bande noch ein paar Wochen überleben muss, bevor der große Raub über die Bühne gehen kann. Doch Ann beginnt den Verdacht zu hegen, dass George und ihr Bruder sich in Schwierigkeiten bringen. Sie konfrontiert George, was zu Spannungen innerhalb der Gruppe führt.
