motorhome electric installation // niesmann+bischoff - luxury motorhome (model FLAIR) // 2019 // EL8

In this video, you will learn everything about the setup and operation of the electric installation of the motorhome Flair and how to maintain it properly. In the garage of the luxury motorhome by your motorhome manufacturer Niesmann+Bischoff you will find the complete electrical installation behind the perforated sheeting. This consists of an inverter, the fuses and a maintenance-free AGM battery. Always ensure that the batteries remain charged because deeply discharged batteries have a short service life. In the upper area you will find the inverter, which you switch to ON to activate the entire power supply of the large motorhome. Now all further functions can be managed by the radio remote control in the living area. Next to this inverter, there are two FI personal protection devices. They secure all sockets, cables and devices that are operated with 230 volts. If the fuse in your motorhome pops out, check the RCD protection and simply push the fuse back in. Below the FI switches is the relay box with the fuses of the 12 Volt build-up electrics. These are assigned to different fuse locations using symbols. These include fridge, step, heating, water pump, light and many more. If a fuse is defective, a small indicator light on the symbol of the broken fuse lights up as an indication. The solar controller, which hangs next to the relay box, indicates the charging process of the solar system and lights up a red control light in case of error messages. This controller is also maintenance-free. When you want to park the luxury motorhome for a longer period of time, be sure to disconnect it completely from the living area supply, using the battery disconnector to protect the construction battery. This circuit breaker is located behind the first underfloor flap to the left of the entrance door on the FLAIR models built from summer 2015. Behind the first apron flap on the driver's side you will find the vehicle battery isolator switch behind the diesel filler neck. If there is no external power supply for a longer period of time, it is best to disconnect the vehicle battery as well.
