Auf globaler Ebene wird eine Menge Abfall produziert. Wenn die Abfälle nicht recycelt werden, füllen sie sich in unseren Deponien, zerstören Lebensräume und stellen eine sehr ernste Gesundheitsgefahr dar.
Stell dir vor, der von uns produzierte Abfall kann eines Tages auf natürliche Weise von Mikroben in der Umwelt abgebaut werden oder sich in sicherere Abbaumaterialien auflösen. Dieses Prinzip erforscht ein solches Konzept.
Es gibt eine neue Klasse von Kunststoffen, die so genannten Biokunststoffe, die aus natürlichen Monomeren wie Zellulose und Milchsäure hergestellt werden und sich in der Umwelt abbauen oder auflösen können. Polymilchsäure, oder PLA, ist ein Beispiel für einen Biokunststoff.

In this video, we are going to look at parallel lines. To find the equation of parallel lines, we still use the y=mx + c equation, and because they have the same gradient, we know straight away that the gradient ‘m’ will be the same. We then just need to find the missing y-intercept ‘c’ value.
