Aiming to realize patient-friendly cancer therapy - Co-creation with Osaka Heavy Ion Therapy Center

In 2018, Osaka’s first heavy ion therapy facility saw the light of day. Particle therapy has almost no associated pain and is said to have fewer side effects than other radiotherapy. Hitachi participated from the facility design stages to build the therapy system with the Osaka Heavy Ion Therapy Center. The Center received the Good Design Award for its compact design and treatment space.
