Voith marine propulsion systems - Discover the Voith Radial Propeller

Maximum power and safety for offshore platforms: in order to position drilling vessels and semi-submersible platforms in offshore operations safely against currents, wind and wave forces, Voith Turbo Marine has revived a project from the 1970s and worked on the further development of the Voith Radial Propeller. Typically, six or eight of these pivotable jet propellers (also called thrusters) with outputs of up to 8 000 kW, are used for the dynamic positioning of drilling platforms, which allows the extraction of raw materials even in water depths of over 3 000 meters.
