Hedgehogs are small nocturnal animals found throughout the old world. There are nearly twenty different hedgehog species. These little critters can live in a variety of habitats and spend their days sleeping in burrows. At night, hedgehogs can travel far and wide in search of meals ranging from centipedes to scorpions! They're generally solitary creatures, but mama hedgehogs do travel with their babies for a few weeks out of the year before leaving them forever.
