alugha offers four plans — Free, Creator, Business, and Enterprise – each with a monthly budget of credits. Credits power every AI action, video encoding, download, and hosting on the platform. This article explains the plans, what credits are, and how they are used.

All plans are billed monthly or annually (20% discount). Prices exclude VAT.

What are credits?
Credits are the single currency for everything that costs compute on alugha. They power:
- AI services — Speech-To-Text (STT), machine translation (MTL), Text-To-Speech (TTS), and voice cloning.
- Video operations — encoding and downloads.
- Hosting — storage (1 credit per HD minute per month) and traffic (2 credits per GB streamed).
Every AI dialog in the dubbr shows three numbers before you submit, so you always know the exact cost:
- Credits left in your wallet — your current balance.
- Required credits for this action — what this job will cost.
- Credits remaining afterwards — your balance once the job runs.
Monthly credits vs. extra credits
Monthly credits
- Included in every plan (200 / 2,000 / 30,000 / custom).
- Reset at the start of each billing cycle — unused monthly credits do not roll over.
- Even yearly plans reset credits monthly.
Extra credits
- Purchasable at any time on any plan, including Free.
- Start at €5 (excl. VAT) for 1,000 credits.
- Never expire — they stay in your wallet until used.
- Only consumed after monthly credits are depleted.
- Bulk discounts: 6,000 (1% off), 20,000 (3%), 50,000 (5%), 150,000 (10%).

What happens when you run out of credits
When your balance hits zero:
- Videos switch to the lowest available resolution.
- All credit-based AI features (STT, translation, TTS, voice cloning) are temporarily disabled.
- You can still watch content on alugha and use manual dubbr features.
- alugha notifies you before credits run out.
To restore full quality and AI features: buy extra credits or wait until your next monthly credit refresh.
Add-ons
Available to all paid plans (Creator and above):
- Glossary — protect brand names and technical terms from mistranslation.
- Voice cloning — clone your voice for consistent multilingual dubbing.
- Video colorization — add colour to archival or black-and-white footage.
- Live streaming — stream content directly through alugha.
- API — programmatic access to create and manage video projects.

Good to know
- Upgrade/downgrade anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades at the end of the billing period.
- Cancellation = automatic switch to the Free plan at the end of the billing period.
- No credit card for Free — but account verification (via Paddle) is needed to share videos publicly and embed the player.
- Payment via Paddle — supports Visa, Mastercard, Amex, PayPal, and more. alugha never stores your card details.
- VAT — +19% for consumers in Germany/EU. EU businesses self-declare (reverse charge). Non-EU pay no VAT.
