Hello, today I'll be showing you how to initialize and configure a steute TCP/IP wireless receiver. We've set everything up in advance, connecting the receiver to a notebook via Ethernet. What sets this receiver apart is that its configuration and the learning of switches are done through a web-based interface, unlike traditional push-button methods. First, we adjust the network settings on the notebook by assigning a specific IP address and subnet mask. After these adjustments, we can access the receiver through Mozilla Firefox using a certain network address. We log in using a username and password and see that up to 40 switches can be learned. In our example, we start with teaching a switch by putting it into "Learn" mode, activating it, and then deactivating the mode. After the successful learning process, we need to link the switch's address to the notebook's network address and select a port, choosing "TCP Client" as the protocol. Once set, we confirm the setting. We can now test if the switch has been learned correctly by observing the change of the LED light when activating the switch. Additionally, we introduce software that enables the visualization and evaluation of incoming telegrams from switches, for instance, to retrieve RSSI value or battery status. For integration into a control system, steute offers a telegram description for download, providing all necessary information for implementation. This completes the introduction to using the TCP/IP wireless receiver.
