And through the documentation and wireless data transfer to the John Deere Operations Center in the cloud, farmers are able to gain insights for their nutrient management to make it better & site-specific.
Grain Sensing leverages the well know HarvestLab 3000, the near-infrared sensor of John Deere, and puts it on John Deere combines. This means the same sensor is already being used
1. on John Deere Forage Harvesters for dry matter & constituents sensing
2. on slurry tankers, pulled by John Deere tractors, to precisely apply & document manure based on nutrients and
3. in a stationary mode to measure ingredients of the feed for the cows.
