Anyone who wants to send and receive Bitcoins, a digital currency, needs a cryptocurrency wallet. Every wallet has a private key in the form of a numeric code that automatically signs transactions. Every transaction is recorded by every computer in the network in an encrypted data block and added to the existing blockchain. The recipient sees in their wallet that the bitcoins have been transferred.
