Carl Gustav Jung - Introvert, Extravert, Ambivert

Note: The correct term is "Extravert" "Extrovert" is colloquial and can also be used according to the Duden. Introversion and extraversion are terms coined by the psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung in Switzerland in the 1920s. According to Jung, an extrovert seeks intensive contact with the outside world. Instead, an introvert directs psychic energy inwards. Jung believed that no one is 100% extroverted or 100% introverted, instead we possess both traits. However, most people tend to either one side or the other.
