The Case of the Winthrop Legend is the 7th episode of the 1954-1955 TV series Sherlock Holmes starring Ronald Howard as Sherlock Holmes and Howard Marion-Crawford as Dr. Watson. Harvey Winthrop asks Holmes to help him prevent his brother's potential death because of the terrible Winthrop legend... which tells that any Winthrop possessing a silver coin will die. Holmes travels to the Winthrop manor but is unsuccessful to prevent the death of John Winthrop. He suspects Peg, Harvey's fiancée, to be the murderer but can't prove it.
