Meet Jean Marie, the general manager of Peace House Innovations in the Kalobeyei Refugee Camp, where his team crafts quality bags, clothing, and pillows. For a long time, their growth was capped by the physical limits of manual sewing machines. Everything changed when Renewvia, an investee of CEI Africa, introduced reliable, highly affordable clean electricity to the camp. With stable power, Jean Marie transitioned the workshop to modern machines. The results were immediate: production increased, operational costs stayed low, and the business expanded enough to hire more people from the community. By investing in affordable green energy, CEI Africa is helping resilient entrepreneurs in displacement settings transition from relief to self-reliance.
