Kick-off for a nationwide unique support framework with a new sponsor and a new cooperation partner On Friday, May 4th of 2018, the Greinert family and the Dietmar Hopp Foundation announced their cooperation in supporting enrolled top athletes. As an advanced development of the Mannheim Sports Scholarship, the “Elite Student Athletes Scholarship Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region” gained an additional sponsor, Dietmar Hopp, as well as a new cooperation partner in the University of Heidelberg. The numerous female and male scholarship recipients and the four partners kicked-off the new scholarship program together. In a press briefing, Klaus Greinert, Dietmar Hopp, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Bernhard Eitel and Prof. Dr. Ernst-Ludwig explained their decision to support top athletes.
