This video is part of the AE2135-I Structural Analysis and Design course at TUDelft Faculty of Aerospace Engineering. In this video, we will quickly derive some simple shortcut equations for determining resultant forces and moments acting on an idealized sheet using the boom-sheet approximation. These equations are particularly useful for determining shear centre locations and for resolving multi-cell structures when they are idealized using the sheet-boom approximation.
