Learn about graphs. In this third part introductory video we will look at the parallel and perpendicular lines.
Both parallel and perpendicular lines are found everywhere; just think of a car park.
Parallel lines have the same gradient; they go in the same direction and will never ever cross. i.e. They have the same steepness.
Perpendicular lines cross each other at 90 degrees (right angles). One will always have a positive gradient and the other will always have a negative gradient.
We will look at finding the gradients and equations of parallel and perpendicular lines in future videos.
