Video: “Call Today” (English) — :15 seconds

Keeping up with routine medical visits and vaccinations can help protect kids’ health now and in the future. During the COVID-19 public health emergency, many parents postponed routine care for their children, which in some cases has delayed essential care. Well-child visits help health care providers determine if children are meeting important developmental milestones and allow them to administer age-appropriate vaccines. Families should contact their child’s provider and schedule a well-child visit today to ensure children are caught up on medical care they may have missed. Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) cover well-child visits, dentist visits, eye exams, vaccinations, prescriptions, hospital visits, mental health services, and more for kids and teens up to age 19. Families without health insurance may be eligible for free or low-cost health insurance available through Medicaid or CHIP and they can enroll at any time of the year. Parents may be eligible for Medicaid, too. Visit the “Find Coverage for Your Family” map on InsureKidsNow.gov or call 1-877-KIDS-NOW (1-877-543-7669) to learn more.
