0:01 → 0:03
Welcome to the dubbr!
0:03 → 0:05
This is where all the magic happens!
0:05 → 0:08
This is where your video becomes multilingual!
0:08 → 0:11
Using the dubbr is easier than it may seem at first sight.
0:11 → 0:14
We'll be going through each of the most important functions
0:14 → 0:17
and getting you started using the dubbr in no time.
0:17 → 0:20
For now, our main focus will be on these 4 icons:
0:20 → 0:21
The Video info...,
0:21 → 0:22
the timelines...,
0:22 → 0:23
the text editor
0:23 → 0:25
...and the recorder.
0:25 → 0:28
Now let’s take this short marketing video, which is in English.
0:28 → 0:30
Once you've uploaded it to alugha
0:30 → 0:32
you can click on the video info icon...
0:32 → 0:34
... and go ahead and add some info to your video,
0:35 → 0:36
such as a title,
0:36 → 0:37
description,
0:37 → 0:38
tags...,
0:38 → 0:40
and other awesome stuff!
0:41 → 0:43
This is also where you can make adjustments
0:43 → 0:45
to the terms of privacy of your video.
0:45 → 0:46
Save your settings...
0:47 → 0:50
Now, if you look over here, you will see a little globe icon,
0:50 → 0:52
and this is where the fun starts!
0:52 → 0:54
By clicking on this icon,
0:54 → 0:57
you can add as many language tracks to your video as you like!
0:57 → 0:59
In this case, we'll be working with German.
0:59 → 1:02
You can see by this tab that German has been added,
1:02 → 1:03
although it currently has no audio.
1:04 → 1:06
Our next stop is the timeline,
1:06 → 1:09
in which each of your language tracks has gotten it's own timeline.
1:09 → 1:10
As we mentioned before,
1:10 → 1:13
the German track doesn't have any audio yet,
1:13 → 1:15
so you'll want to translate the video to German
1:15 → 1:17
and record it using the dubbr.
1:17 → 1:19
There are several ways you can go about doing this,
1:19 → 1:21
but a safe place to start is by making segments.
1:22 → 1:23
What is a segment you ask?
1:24 → 1:27
Segments are where you will be inserting the text and audio content
1:27 → 1:29
for every language that you add to your videos.
1:29 → 1:33
They’re basically the space into which you will record later on.
1:33 → 1:35
Click on the “Add Segment” Icon
1:35 → 1:37
to add as many segments as you find necessary.
1:38 → 1:41
It may be a good idea to listen to your original audio track
1:41 → 1:44
and make your segments based on its content.
1:44 → 1:47
You could, for example, make a segment for every sentence.
1:49 → 1:51
Breaking your original audio track down into segments
1:52 → 1:54
will facilitate recording in other languages later on,
1:54 → 1:57
as you will be able to record by sections.
1:57 → 2:00
You can always adjust the segments you already have.
2:00 → 2:02
Keep in mind that segments are synched across language tracks,
2:02 → 2:05
so any changes you make to the segment in one language
2:05 → 2:07
will be taken over in the others.
2:08 → 2:11
Once you’ve segmented your original audio track,
2:11 → 2:13
you can start typing in your original text,
2:13 → 2:14
segment by segment.
2:15 → 2:17
Let's switch over to the text editor
2:17 → 2:19
and start translating your text.
2:20 → 2:21
Done?
2:21 → 2:22
Awesome!
2:22 → 2:22
You're almost there!
2:23 → 2:24
Now you can start recording.
2:24 → 2:26
Click on the recorder Icon
2:26 → 2:28
and select the language you want to record in
2:28 → 2:30
as well as an input device.
2:30 → 2:33
Next, make sure you’ve selected the segment that you want to record
2:33 → 2:35
and then simply click on the "record" button...
2:42 → 2:45
You can always listen to the segment after recording it
2:45 → 2:47
and retake it if you want to.
2:54 → 2:56
Repeat the process of translating and dubbing your text,
2:56 → 2:57
segment by segment,
2:57 → 3:00
for every language track you add to your video.
3:00 → 3:02
Now just some finishing touches.
3:02 → 3:04
If you haven’t already, go back to the video info
3:04 → 3:07
and customize your video’s background and thumbnail.
3:07 → 3:09
Click on the little music note icon
3:09 → 3:12
to add some epic background audio to your language track.
3:12 → 3:13
And guess what?
3:13 → 3:15
It’s time to share your new audio track with the world!
3:16 → 3:19
Click on the floppy icon and make sure the checkbox
3:19 → 3:21
with the right language track is selected.
3:21 → 3:23
Then save the selected track.
3:23 → 3:25
Congratulations!
3:25 → 3:27
your video is now multilingual!
3:27 → 3:30
Or... in this case maybe just bilingual, for now.
3:31 → 3:34
Your video will be available directly on the alugha player...
3:34 → 3:36
... or you can embed it onto your own website,
3:36 → 3:39
using the code snippet available under the share tab,
3:39 → 3:42
so all of your visitors can enjoy your multilingual content!
3:42 → 3:44
But why stop there?
3:44 → 3:46
Share it on different platforms such as Twitter,
3:46 → 3:47
Kickstarter,
3:47 → 3:49
change.org and many more.
3:49 → 3:51
Have loads of fun with the dubbr
3:51 → 3:53
and contact us about any question in any language...
3:53 → 3:56
we are after all, multilingual.
