Every year, on the day of the full moon in December, during the Loy Krathong festival,
the people of Chiang Mai, Thailand, cast lanterns decorated with flowers down the river
or let sky lanterns fly as a token of their appreciation and to also cast away their sins.
The countless lanterns floating into the night sky is a truly beautiful, ethereal sight.
This video features interviews with the manufacturer of sky lanterns and the mayor of Chiang Mai,
and also captures the magical sight susing Panasonic's VARICAM 35 and VARICAM LT.
