Filmde Çanakkale Savaşı'nda kaybolan üç oğlunu arayan Avustralyalı bir babanın Türkiye'ye gelişi anlatılmaktadır. Avustralyalı bir çiftçi olan Connor (Russell Crowe), 1919 yılında Çanakkale Savaşı'nın ardından Türkiye'ye gelir. Gelibolu'da savaşta kaybolan üç çocuğunu bulmak için arayışa koyulur.
