Introduce yourself! Who are you and what are you doing?
My name is Meike, I’am 45 years old, born in Stadte and living next to Worms. I’am married and I have to great kids. I used to be a skilled finance officer. Beside reading I engage in animal protection which brought us to two dogs, three cats and fishes.
How did you come to alugha?
It just happened! During a walk the idea was explained to me in five minutes and I knew: I have to support it!
How is it to work with your husband and your son? Is the alugha theme resting sometimes?
To be honest: sometimes I have to stop them. But because all of us are involved that’s not a problem.
What’s your function at alugha?
I am in charge for accounting, payment transactions and the employees.
You are the queen of accounting, is that hard to figure out? Often startups guzzle a lot of money at the beginning.
Thanks to our investor thats’s not such a problem. But sure, when it comes to finance I enjoy having his trust, so I’m careful with the money.
What do you like about the work?
When it comes to time I’m very flexible. I can do what I learned, so that I have the chance to be a part of this great project and help where I can. And I can even spend time with my husband.
Which thing marks a highlight in your previous working life?
Good question! I would say it’s the mix of being mother, nurse, cook, cleaner and teacher, the list is endless.
If you think about future, where do you see yourself and the company in 10 years?
alugha stands out for its convenience and that’s why it is so genial. In ten years alugha is a main part of the internet if you think about multilingual videos. The startup will be so big that I can think about more dreams.
The last point is about big dreams, what are they?
I hope that we’ll stay happy and healthy, that’s my only wish. I would love to open a centre for animals where I could enable those poor creatures a new future. I even have two employees yet...
